design philosophy

“The way in which we live is constantly changing; advances in technology and global communication has become an integral part of our lives. I see the implications of the 24-hour society. The blurring of the boundaries between playing, learning and working has placed a greater emphasis upon our built environment. The way we design can no longer represent static object it must be adaptable, flexible and interchangeable. Whilst practicalities and function is a priority, my instincts have always been to design for the end-user and their requirements. A good design should then grow out of the space and be influenced by the local culture and society. My interpretation of a concept utilises clean materials and places emphasis on the use of light to create an effective and efficient realisation”
